After a back injury, I became a client of Active Physical Therapy. I found the sessions to be professional, informative, friendly and easily discernable. My back improved quickly and I was given exercises to keep it injury free. I would highly recommend it to anyone with an injury.

Courteney BealkoActivePT,
Thank you for the encouragement to continue section hiking the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT). The exercises you provided for my knee were completely successful and although I carried an Ace knee support bandage, I never used it in 500 miles of hiking, including the ascent of Mt. Whitney (14,494 feet). As you predicted, my knee got stronger during the hike. We have now completed one-third of the Pacific Crest Trail since starting at the Mexican border in 2004. This year we hiked from Walker Pass near Bakersfield to South Lake Tahoe, essentially walking from one end of the Sierras to the other. We hiked through nearly two dozen passes, over 10,000 feet, including Forrester Pass which at 13,200 feet is the highest point on the PCT. A large factor in my successful Sierra hike was my sessions at Active Physical Therapy.
Thank you for your support,

I can’t say enough about Courteney Bealko of Active Physical Therapy! Please know that my treatment with Courteney is heightened by her knowledge, skill, and compassion.
What sets her apart from other professionals is her ability to make me feel very relaxed with a complete feeling of trust while under her care. She is a true healer and I am grateful to be under her care. I highly recommend her treatment for anyone in need of physical therapy.

I was literally hit by a Mack truck on my motorcycle. I was in bad shape and desperately needed physical therapy. My experience with Active Physical Therapy was amazing. I could not have asked for a more knowledgeable and caring staff.

Dear ActivePT:
I’m writing to let you know how much I have appreciated the physical therapy services you provided me as I recovered this spring and summer from my shoulder dislocation and rotator cuff repair surgery.
Your skill in manipulating the joints and muscles and your knowledge of how all the physiology works together made my rehabilitation not only faster, but far more successful than I ever could have achieved on my own. The exercises you gave me to do in between sessions targeted the many different areas that each had to be strengthened, and in the correct sequence in order to achieve the goal of pre-injury functionality.
I feel I was very fortunate to have you as my physical therapist as it’s hard to imagine anyone else doing a better job. Your pleasant, professional, caring and encouraging style contributed to my getting through a painful, but necessary regimen.
I’m still working on the exercises you prescribed and continue to gain strength and range of motion in my right arm and shoulder every day. It will be awhile before I’m 100% and pain-free, but I am well on my way and I know much of the credit for that goes to you.
So, thanks… Your clients are lucky to have you.

When I needed treatment for a nagging back problem, Courteney was able to help with treatment and exercises that were easy to understand and implement. I would recommend her & already have to my friends & family.

Running successActive Physical Therapy is the ultimate in physical therapy:
After being rear ended twice in a six month period, I thought I would never have the active lifestyle that I had prior to the accidents. When other medical professionals discouraged me from running a marathon, ActivePT said, “We can get there.” Although I’m not yet 100%, I am on the right path to recovery with Courteney Bealko with me every step of the way. Not only is Courteney an integral part of my recovery, she has been an inspiration to me. If you are willing to put in the time and effort to get better, then I recommend Active Physical Therapy. In my opinion, Courteney is the ultimate physical therapist.

I was off from work for 6 weeks with a back injury located in the Lumbar 4-5 disc area with nerve involvement. I worked with both Courteney Bealko and Sharon Spinder at Active Physical Therapy. Courteney came highly recommended as a therapist that specialized in my type of injury. I was very pleased with my therapy and the exercises that were given to me to help maintain the health of my back. As a result I am back at work full time and enjoying an active and normal life. I have and will continue to recommend “Active Physical Therapy” to anyone.

My experience with Active Physical Therapy changed my life from daily back pain for 20 years, to no pain and an extremely active lifestyle. Once again I can compete in swimming at a world class level, and with the speed that I achieved in college! I believe that my whole-body strength comes from the assistence I received at Active Physical Therapy. By being diligent at doing the excercises, I eliminate weaknesses that slow me down and cause injuries. Currently I am a world champion and world and national record holder — so I need to be at the top of my game with absolute confidence. I have this in large part because of Active Physical Therapy.
